Part One
Consists of:
- An induction session to meet your instructor

- Practical Teaching Skills for Driving Instructors

- The Official Highway Code
- The Official Guide to Learning to Drive
- Know your Traffic Signs
- The Motor Car: Mechanical Principles
- ADI Starter Pack – Your Road to becoming an ADI
- ADI theory Test Question Bank
- 2 hours 1:1 in-car driving training
- 2 hours 1:1 in-car fault assessment training
- 2 hours 1:1 in-car instructing training
- 2 hours hazard perception training
The home study element of this training usually takes 60 hours to complete and most people find 5 hours per week home study comfortable.
Cost £500 (£450 if you have completed a suitability assessment)
Part Two
Consists of:
- 10 hours of 1:1 in-car driving training
- Part two workbook
Most people find that 10 hours of training for part two is sufficient, however, should you feel it necessary, more training can be provided at an extra cost of £35 per hour.
Cost £400
Part Three
Consists of:
- 40 hours of 1:1 in-car training
- Part three workbook
- Visual Aid Book (ATS)
- CD’s with example briefings
This is the last but the most difficult part to pass. A fact that is reflected in the number of hours we dedicate to this part. Forty hours is a substantial amount of time spent on instructional ability training and while usually adequate more training hours can be purchased if you or your instructor feel it necessary at a cost of £35 per hour.
Cost £1500 (can be paid for in 3 staged payments of £500 each)
